Grief Speaks

Clifton, TX, Grief Support group

WHO: Everyone ages 18+ who is grieving the loss of someone, even if it's been decades. 

​

WHAT: A free discussion-based gathering of support and solidarity. This is a peer support group moderated by facilitators.

 

WHERE: At Windmill Café (next to the Bosque Museum) in Clifton, Texas. This location can be found on Google Maps. The building is ADA-accessible.

WHEN: We meet at 2 pm for an hour on the last Sunday of every month. Thank you for trying your best to arrive on time although late arrivals will be warmly welcomed as well - we know sometimes we all get behind that unexpected slow truck!

MORE INFO:

• You can just listen; you don't have to talk unless you want to but everyone who wants to share will have that chance. Here are the group guidelines so you know how things will work.

• This group is nondenominational. All people of any belief are welcome.

• We won't be using a curriculum, but rather discuss and share according to the needs of the group members at each session

• The support group is free

• Refreshments will be served!

HOSTS: The  peer-support group will be facilitated by Annice Barber, end-of-life doula of Gentle Journey Services, and Dave Anfenson, chaplain of Lutheran Sunset Ministries. We are generously supported by The Clifton Ministerial Alliance.
